Your baby doesn't need you to be perfect. Your baby needs you to be present.

YOU'RE PREPARING FOR ONE OF THE BIGGEST CHANGES OF YOUR LIFE...

And suddenly, everyone has an opinion.

What you should eat. How you should exercise. Where and how you should give birth. How your baby should sleep. How you should feed them. What kind of parent you should be.

There's more information available to mothers than ever before.

And somehow, that hasn't made motherhood feel any easier.

For many women, it's created even more anxiety, second-guessing and pressure to get everything "right."

Too much information. Not enough peace.

What if you had somewhere to step away from all that noise?

Somewhere to breathe.

Move your body.

Ask your questions.

Connect with other mothers.

And remember that underneath all the advice, opinions and expectations...

You already carry more wisdom than you realize.

THE THREAD RUNNING THROUGH ALL OF IT?

Letting Go of Perfect.

Maybe you've caught yourself wondering:

Will I be a good enough mom?

What if I make the wrong choices?

What if birth doesn't go according to plan?

Why does everyone else seem to have this figured out?

Am I doing enough?

Perfectionism has a way of turning even beautiful moments into another opportunity to question ourselves.

And motherhood gives our inner critic an endless supply of material.

M.J.'s work is about helping you soften that voice.

To stop measuring yourself against impossible standards.

To reconnect with your own instincts.

And to discover that being a wonderful mother doesn't require having all the answers.

Your child doesn't need a perfect mother.

They need you.

Present. Loving. Human.

MEET M.J.

A Little More "Auntie Grandma." A Little Less Internet Advice.

Hi, I'm M.J.

I'm a mindfulness teacher, recovering perfectionist, mother and stepmother of five adult children, grandmother of two, and these days, as my five-year old grandson dubbed me, an "Auntie Grandma."

I've practiced mindfulness for more than 36 years, and long before becoming a mindfulness teacher, I spent years walking alongside families as a doula, childbirth educator and midwife.

I later returned to college in midlife to study psychology at Smith College, where I focused on perfectionism.

And today, I'm watching my own daughter navigate motherhood while I get the enormous privilege of being a grandmother.

I've seen motherhood from a lot of different angles.

And one thing has become increasingly clear to me:

Mothers don't need more people telling them what they're doing wrong.

They need places where they feel safe enough to slow down, ask questions, trust themselves and remember that they're already enough.

That's the kind of space I'm here to create.

Think of me as another trusted woman in your village.

Someone who's been around the block a few times, has some wisdom to share, and will never expect you to have it all figured out.
