A six-week mindfulness group to help you release perfectionism, ease anxiety, and prepare your heart — not just your nursery — for your baby.
Tuesdays, January 27 - March 3, 2026, 7PM EST - Zoom
Does anxiety about being a good enough parent keep you up at night?
Your baby doesn’t need you to be perfect. Your baby needs you to be present.
Mindfulness can help.
Join Nest, a gentle six-week mindfulness group for expectant parents led by M.J. Schwartz, certified mindfulness instructor, former midwife, mom and stepmom to five adult children, and grandma to two.
This isn’t just another prenatal class — it’s an interactive, heartfelt experience designed to help you let go of perfectionism, soothe anxiety, and prepare your heart (and nervous system) for the beautiful, unpredictable journey of parenthood.
This guided journey inward will help you meet yourself and your baby with greater ease, compassion, and trust.
Over six weeks, you’ll practice simple, beautiful mindfulness tools to quiet self-doubt, release perfectionism, and cultivate deep calm as you prepare to welcome your baby.
In Nest, you will:
Learn six foundational mindfulness practices to help you relax your body, calm your mind, and connect with your baby.
Release perfectionistic thoughts that say, “I’m not ready” or “I’ll never be enough.”
Discover how to meet stress, change, and uncertainty with compassion and grace.
Build a weekly ritual of stillness and connection with other expectant parents who understand exactly what you’re feeling.
Leave each session feeling grounded, supported, and reassured that you — just as you are — are exactly what your baby needs.
You’ll walk away from these six weeks feeling calmer, more confident, and beautifully connected — to yourself, your baby, and the unfolding parenting journey you have already embarked upon.

ABOUT M.J.
Hi, I’m M.J. Schwartz — a certified mindfulness instructor and recovering perfectionist. I’m the mother and stepmother of five adult children, and the grandmother of one (with another on the way!). I’ve been practicing mindfulness for 36 years.
Before returning to college in midlife and becoming a mindfulness teacher, I worked as a doula, childbirth educator, and homebirth midwife. I hold a B.A. in psychology from Smith College, where I studied perfectionism with one of the leading researchers in the field.
My mission is simple: to help parents release the myth of perfection and rediscover the calm confidence that’s already within them.
I believe you don’t need to “fix” yourself to be a good parent — you just need to come home to yourself.
